Cristie Data has the Inside Story on HPE Nimble Storage dHCI

At its major customer and partner event HPE Discover this week, Hewlett Packard Enterprise has been positioning itself for the next era of intelligent computing.  In his keynote speech CEO Antonio Neri pledged to offer ‘Everything as a Service’ and tackle what he sees as the three real problems that hold businesses back – technology, people and economics.

One of the most exciting announcements for us at Cristie Data was the reveal of HPE Nimble Storage dHCI – the dHCI stands for disaggregated hyperconverged infrastructure. As an HPE Gold Hybrid IT Partner we were chosen to beta test dHCI in the UK and were keen to hear the announcement so we could finally share with you the details of the technology involved, what we think it will do for the storage industry and, more importantly, our customers.

‘HPE Nimble Storage dHCI is neither HCI nor CI.  It’s a blend of both and pulls together the best elements of each type of infrastructure,’ says our Senior Pre Sales Architect Marc Bingham who has spent the past six months road-testing the solution and giving feedback to the HPE development team. ‘It combines the simplicity of HCI with the reliability, familiarity and flexibility of scale of our beloved 3-tier architecture’.

Marc will be sharing his insight on dHCI over the coming days to give you valuable insight into how it can improve the infrastructure for organisations with unpredictable workloads that need to scale.
